Bite into our delicious Apple 'N Cheddar Tuna Pitas made with Hellmann's® Mayonnaise, cheddar or American cheese, cranberries and more.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans (170 g) tuna in water, drained and flaked
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) Hellmann's® with Olive Oil mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) finely chopped apple
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or American cheese, cut up
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) finely chopped red onion
  • 2 (8-in.) (20 cms) pita breads or whole wheat pita breads, halved

METHOD

  1. Combine all ingredients except pita breads in medium bowl. Evenly stuff pita breads with tuna mixture.

Tip:

Substitute canned or leftover chicken for the tuna.
