In 1913, Richard and Margaret realized their dream of setting up shop and the Hellmann’s Delicatessen was born. It was there that Richard perfected his legendary mayonnaise; a creamy blend of carefully selected ingredients crafted for ultimate flavor. The follow up version, overflowing with deliciousness and an irresistibly creamy texture became so popular that Richard sealed it with the iconic 'Blue-Ribbon' which quickly became America's favorite – a title it still proudly holds today.
