Save our sandwiches
The BLT

Rest In Perfection, BLT. We’ll miss you.

By 2043, mayo, a beloved sandwich ingredient, could become extinct as an everyday affordable product. More frequent climate events like heavy rainfall, drought, and flooding on farms can make it harder to grow, and for businesses to affordably source, ingredients we depend on, like the soybeans used in our mayo1. Adopting practices like cover cropping can keep the soil intact and support the growth of roots strong enough to stay in the ground2

The Egg Salad Sandwich

With heavy hearts we bid farewell to the egg salad sandwich.  An eggs-traordinary life that ended too soon.

Star of picnics and on-the-go lunches, this humble sandwich is on the verge of going egg-tinct unless we take egg-streme action.  Seriously, more frequent climate events like heavy rainfall, drought, and flooding on farms could cause sandwich ingredients like mayo to cease to affordably exist by 2043. 1

That’s un-eggs-cusable. 2

The Italian Sub

Prepare to say “arrivederci” to the Italian Sub.

By 2043, mayo, a beloved sandwich ingredient, could become extinct as an everyday affordable product due to more frequent climate events like heavy rainfall, drought, and flooding on farms.1 This means the Italian sub could soon disappear, leaving behind a black void where our mayo used to meet gabagool.

But Hellmann’s is on a mission to save this beloved sandwich. And THAT’s amore.2

The Turkey Club Sandwich

Here lies the unsung hero of our lunch hour, the Turkey Club Sandwich. Gone too soon from our stomachs, but never from our hearts.

More frequent climate events like heavy rainfall, drought, and flooding on farms could cause sandwich ingredients like mayo to cease to affordably exist by 20431. A colossal loss, our days drizzling mayo on this deliciously layered classic could become history.

But Hellmann’s is not ready to say goodbye.2
