For the Grouper:

  • 4 grouper fillets (5–6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For the Garlic Aioli:

  • 1 cup Hellmann’s mayonnais
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chili powder

For the Sandwich:

  • 4 brioche buns , toasted
  • butter lettuce
  • tomato slices
  • thinly sliced red onion

  1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  2. Pat grouper dry and drizzle with olive oil. Coat both sides evenly with the seasoning blend.

  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook grouper for 5-7minutes per side until blackened and flaky.

  4. Add Hellmann’s mayonnaise, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice,, and chili powder to a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  5. Toast brioche buns until golden.

  6. Spread garlic aioli on both sides of the bun. Layer with butter lettuce, blackened grouper, tomato, and red onion. Serve warm.
