A great tasting stuffing recipe. Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise keeps the middle moist while the outside of the stuffing is baked until golden and crispy.
6 Tbsp. Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 Tbsp. Country Crock® Spread, melted
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves *
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg (optional)
2 medium onions, chopped
1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage or sweet Italian sausage links removed from casing
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts or cooked chestnuts, almonds or walnuts
1 1/4 cups coarse fresh bread crumbs
Combine Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise, eggs, melted Country Crock® Spread, Worcestershire sauce, sage and nutmeg in large bowl. Stir in onions, sausage, water chestnuts and hazelnuts. Add bread crumbs and toss.
Use to stuff chicken or a roast. OR, spoon into casserole or onto baking sheet and bake at 375° until sausage is cooked and stuffing is golden, about 20 minutes.
