Chicken Marinade:

  • boneless, skinless chicken thighs 4
  • buttermilk 3/4 cup
  • Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise 1/4 cup
  • pickle juice 1 tbsp
  • hot sauce 1 tsp

Chicken Dredge:

  • all-purpose flour 1.5 cups
  • kosher salt 1 tsp
  • black pepper 1 tsp
  • garlic powder 1 tsp
  • smoked paprika 1 tsp
  • onion powder 1/2 tsp

Nashville hot coating

  • reserved frying oil 1/4 cup
  • cayenne pepper 1 tbsp
  • brown sugar 1 tbsp
  • smoked paprika 1 tsp
  • garlic powder 1/2 tsp
  • chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • kosher salt 1/4 tsp

Hellmann's comeback sauce:

  • Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise 1/2 cup
  • ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp
  • pickle juice 1 tsp
  • smoked paprika 1/2 tsp
  • garlic powder 1/2 tsp
  • hot sauce dash

Hellmann's creamy slaw:

  • shredded green cabbage 3 cups
  • shredded purple cabbage 1 cup
  • shredded carrots 1/2 cup

Dressing:

  • Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise 1/3 cup
  • apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp
  • honey 1 tsp
  • celery salt 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper 1/4 tsp

For assembly:

  • brioche buns 4
  • dill pickle chips 16-20
  • softened butter for toasting buns

Marinate the chicken:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together: buttermilk, Hellmann's, pickle juice and hot sauce

  2. Add chicken thighs and toss to coat.

  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably 4 hours.

Make the sauce and slaw:

  1. Heat 2–3 inches of oil in a Dutch oven or heavy pot to 350°F.

  2. Mix dredge ingredients in a shallow bowl.

  3. Remove chicken from marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off.

  4. Coat thoroughly in flour mixture, pressing flour into the chicken to create texture.

  5. Fry 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Transfer to a wire rack.

Make the Nashville Hot coating:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together: reserved frying oil, cayenne, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt

  2. Brush generously over the hot fried chicken.

Toast the buns:

  1. Butter cut sides of brioche buns. Toast in a skillet until golden brown.

Assemble:

  1. Spread a generous layer of Hellmann’s Comeback Sauce on the bottom bun.

  2. Top with: nashville hot chicken thigh, 4-5 dill pickle chips, large mound of Hellmann's creamy slaw

  3. Finish with the top bun
