A delicious vegan take on a British classic. Swap bacon for tofu and enjoy with the new Hellmann's Vegan Mayo!

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams tofu thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 large round lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices beef tomato
  • 4 tbsps Hellmann’s® Vegan Mayonnaise

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 190˚C

  2. Place tofu slices on a lightly oiled baking pan

  3. Mix the onion powder, nutritional yeast, soy sauce, maple syrup, and liquid smoke. Brush liberally over tofu slices. Bake for 20 minutes or until the tofu is crispy

  4. Spread Hellmann’s vegan mayo over each slice of bread and fill with lettuce, tomato and tofu slices
