Our chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes are the perfect indulgent snack to cook up at home. An impeccable blend of chocolate and peanut butter and arecipe the family will never forget.


  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 10 dollops Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
  • 200 g self-raising flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 50 g chocolate buttons
  • 200 g icing sugar
  • 150 g Flora Buttery
  • 150 g peanut butter

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C, 160°C fan, Gas mark 4. Line a 12 cup muffin tray with cupcake cases; set aside.

  2. Combine the sugar, egg, vanilla and Hellmann’s Light Mayonnaise in a bowl.

  3. In another bowl sieve together the self-raising flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.

  4. Fold the flour through the egg mixture. Add the chocolate buttons, and spoon into cupcake cases and bake for 15-18 minutes. Leave to cool on a cooling rack.

  5. Meanwhile whisk together the icing sugar, Flora Buttery and peanut butter in a medium bowl until smooth. Ice cupcakes with peanut butter icing.
