Ike's Place Meatless Mike: ‘#70’ (this is the vegan meatball one!)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 bread rolls (preferably Ike's Dutch Crunch)
  • 1/2 cup of marinara sauce
  • 6 pieces vegetarian meatballs
  • 4 Pepper Jack slices
  • Sandwich Veggies: Optional
  • 1 cup of Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp of dried garlic
  • dried oregano
  • cayenne pepper (red pepper)
  • dash of dried basil
  • dash of paprika

METHOD

  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Dirty Sauce: Mix in a bowl - 1 ¼ Cup of Hellmann’s Mayonnaise (300ml), 2 Tablespoons of Dried Garlic and a dash of each: Dried Oregano, Dried Basil, Red Pepper, Paprika

  3. Slice each roll and apply ¼ cup (60 ml) of Dirty Sauce to the bottom of each and spread evenly. Apply ¼ Cup (60 ml) of Marinara also to each bottom and spread evenly. Place two slices of Pepper Jack on top of the Marinara.

  4. Place a sheet of aluminium foil on a baking sheet and place the four pieces of bread. In the oven, cook for 3-5 minutes (or until desired toasty-ness) Follow cooking instructions of your choice of Vegetarian ‘Meat’

  5. Add ¼ cup (60 ml) of Dirty Sauce to the tops of each roll. Place the ‘Meat’ on top of the melted cheese/Marinara side of the bread. Add Veggies here if desired. Place on the top roll and cut in half. Enjoy.
