INGREDIENTS

Pick a Base

  • Water, bouillon cubes, onion, garlic

Use up your fruit & veg

  • Celery, carrots, potatoes (with skin) or any other leftover vegetables

Add an optional protein

  • Chicken, chickpeas

Add a magic touch

  • Juice of 1 lemon

METHOD

  1. Quickly fry chopped onion and garlic in oil. Add 2 ‒ 3 cups of chopped vegetables and fry.

  2. Add 4 cups of water, bouillon cubes, and 1 cup of protein. Bring to boil and simmer until tender.

  3. Add your magic touch, salt and pepper to taste.

Extra bread to use up? Dip it in your soup or crumble it as breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture.
