A great hot dog, topped with spicy chili, mustard and red onions. Remember, no hot dog is complete without the smooth, creamy taste of Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise.
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 hot dog buns, toasted if desired
  • 3 Tbsp. Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. Maille® Grainy Dijon mustard

  • 1 Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in medium skillet over medium heat and cook onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, until onion is almost tender, about 4 minutes. Add ground beef, jalapeño pepper, chili powder, cumin and sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, until ground beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • 2 Heat remaining 1 Tbsp. oil in another medium skillet and cook hot dogs* and red onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender and hot dogs are golden, about 8 minutes.
  • 3 Spread buns with Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise, then top with hot dogs, chili, Maille® Grainy Dijon mustard, onions and, if desired, additional Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise.
*Variation:  Grill the hot dogs instead of cooking with the red onion.
