Juicy beef covered in cheese with onion and the great taste of Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise. A great classic cheeseburger recipe.
  • 3/4 lb. (337 g) extra lean ground beef
  • 6 Tbsp. (90 mL) Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise, divided
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. (1 mL) ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) vegetable oil
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese or American cheese
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Amount per serving

  • 1 Combine ground beef, Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise, egg, garlic and black pepper in large bowl; shape into 4 patties.
  • 2 Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties*, turning once, until desired doneness, about 8 minutes. Top with cheese and cook until cheese is melted. Serve in buns with lettuce, tomato and coleslaw.
